The Longest Table welcomed residents to sit down for a free dinner in a welcoming environment with people they may not have know, to foster stronger connections, exchange stories, and share ideas about their community. This year, the Longest Table also sought to gather input regarding the future of the University Avenue Corridor, stretching from Columbia Road to North 3rd Street. Information will contribute to the master planning study being conducted by JLG Architects at the request of the Community Foundation and Knight Foundation.

Wednesday, September 4, 2019 University Ave / N 25th Street Arrive between 5:00 - 5:30pm in order to check in and get to your seat at the table. Event will begin promptly at 5:45pm and conclude at 7:00pm. A post-party will be held from 7:00-9:00pm. Registration & Seating The Longest Table is free and open to all; however, pre-registration is requested to assist with planning efforts. Guests will be placed randomly along the table. If you would like to sit with one specific person, please register together. Each child under 12 must register with an accompanying adult. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for groups larger than two to be seated together. Check-In & Meals Please plan to arrive between 5:00 - 5:30pm. Check-in attendants will be located at the corner of University Avenue and North 25th Street. Reserved seats that are not claimed by 5:30pm will be released on a first come basis. Thanks to Hugo's, we will have a delicious menu with vegetarian/gluten-free options available. Meals will be served table-side after welcoming remarks are made. The menu includes grilled chicken, steamed veggies, potatoes, cold pasta salad, and bun. Parking Free parking is available in the UND lot in the southwest corner of University Ave/N 25th Street or on side streets surrounding the event. Inclement Weather In case of bad weather, the Longest Table will be moved inside. If that is the case, registrants will receive an email the night before the event. Registration Cancellations Cancellations can be made up to 2 days in advance on EventBrite or by emailing Becca at bbahnmiller@gofoundation.org. We would like to ensure very few empty seats and uneaten meals due to no-shows. |
